All the PCs connected with Gigabyte Network, Managed Layer 3 & Layer 2 Switches with campus backbone on fiber to connect al the labs with date centre equipped with 3 hi-end servers to ensure security. Internet facility is available to everyone in the campus with high speed lease line connectivity of 2 mbps via RF link to meet the requirement of video conferencing and for smooth access to online resources like video lectures, emails and ftp to every student and faculty member. The campus is wi-fi to ensure that all the users can make maximum benefit of resources even
while sitting in the cafeteria or in the hostel to create a flexible learning environment that transcends the limitations of traditional, teacher-centered classroom. A key component of this learning initiative is the use of laptops that enables the students to access the internet from various locations and initiates student-led collaborative sessions. Since most of the students are busy during the day, they can use the internet on their laptops through the Wireless Access Points. This is a new approach of learning for performing collaborative and constructivist learning models that encourages team work.
COMPUTERIZED LIBRARY
The library plays an important and quite significant role in student's knowledge gained by imparting better education, both formal and in-formal. Library opens from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on all working days except on Saturdays and Sundays. Library membership is granted in the beginning of the every academic year. Books written by authors of eminence in various disciplines of engineering & MBA have been provided in large numbers for the students. The institute's computerized library network not only offers traditional library facility but also provides regular magazines, journals,periodicals of reputed organizations for students use.
The institute has a well stocked libarary with a vast collection of more than 8000 text as well as reference books, more than 20 journals are subscribed regularly in order to keep pace with information on the latest developments.Other facilities available include the internet, DVDRW, Bibliographies, reading list and much more. A book bank for the needy students is also available in the library.
LABORATORIES
The latest and ultra modern equipments are installed in various laboratories, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electrical, Kinematics and Communication Skills are equipped as per the latest revised curriculum of PTU. The laboratories consist of ultra modern amenities for developing an error free working, logical thinking and critical analysis in the students. Our laboratories impart knowledge about basic principles, scientific processes and various phenomenon's like natural or designing, quality checking and switching efficaciously. The college laboratories help to study in an interesting manner. "Our laboratories create the environment of R & D base for an art called ENGINEERING."
SPORTS FACILITIES
The playgrounds and infrastructure for the outdoor games of basketball, volley ball, cricket and badminton have been made available in the campus. The facilities for indoor games are also available.
MEDICAL FACILITIES
Besides separate first aid boxes in hostels and academic blocks, the medical officers have been engaged from the time to time medical treatment of the students. A vehicle along with attendant is maintained in the campus round the clock in case of an emergency situation. A general dispensary is fully functional which caters the adequate medical facilities for the students.
TRANSPORTATION
The College has large number of buses running to all directions to cover and provide college transport facilities from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala and Rajpura. The bus services are available on no profit and no loss basis as per the directions of the University. Pickup points have been designated closest to the students places of stay to make it convenient for them to board the buses. The college is providing help in making the passes for Govt transport buses free of charge.
WORKSHOPS
Workshop training is the foundation of engineering education. The workshops of Faculty of Engineering and Technology comprise Machine Shop, Foundry Shop, Fitting Shop, Welding Shop, Carpentry Shop and Smithy Shop. All the shops are spacious and well equipped to put vivid impression on the students. The machinery is adequate to accomplish the purpose of producing the intended or expected results for the students. The workshops at the college will help in learning design process and will provide desired understanding of various other basic processes. The college workshops are having all the machines and equipments to learn while performing. The workshops have adequate apparatus to deliver required knowledge to the students.
